Project Controller
Introduction
Our client are working on one of the largest complex infrastructure projects in the UK and are looking for a Reporting Manager to work alongside the project controls team to manage reporting frameworks in line with governance structures.
You will be using digital reporting tools and platforms to produce reports to showcase project performance and progress.
You will need knowledge of NEC or FIDIC contract knowledge!
Working Patterns – 2-3 days per week on site
Key responsibilities
- Managing and overseeing the performance reporting system.
- Using cloud tools and applications to produce high quality reports, showcasing the progress of the project.
- Delivering a ‘digital by default’ approach to reporting and implementing advanced tools.
- Establishing reporting frameworks.
- Being responsible for the production and quality of performance reports.
- Implementing best practices and processes to help project produce good quality outputs, benchmarking them in the project controls industry.
- Ensure report templates, frameworks and documents are maintained and communicated through to the Project controls and delivery team.
- Working across various different departments and liaising with stakeholders across the project, in order to provide feedback and reports.
Skills & experience
Essential:
- Managing and reporting cloud platforms to capture requirements.
- Awareness of a range of reporting software and project controls systems.
- Successfully managing a team or direct reports.
- Strong attention to detail to a high level of accuracy.
- Prioritising workload to hit deadlines and receive high outputs.
- Excellent communication skills
Desirable:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in business analysis, accounting, finance, construction, engineering or project management, or related technical field.
- Active membership of AACE, PMI, APM or similar
- An understanding of earned value analysis.
- NEC suite and FIDIC contract knowledge
- Professionally qualified with chartered or equivalent status
